ANDY MCNAB joined the infantry as a boy soldier. In 1984 he was 'badged' as a member of 22 SAS Regiment and was involved in both covert and overt special operations worldwide. During the Gulf War he commanded Bravo Two Zero, a patrol that, in the words of his commanding officer, 'will remain in regimental history for ever'. Awarded both the Distinguished Conduct Medal (DCM) and Military Medal (MM) during his military career, McNab was the British Army's most highly decorated serving soldier when he finally left the SAS in February 1993. He wrote about his experiences in three books: the phenomenal bestseller Bravo Two Zero, Immediate Action and Seven Troop.

    The book takes a very long time to set the setting but it gets better. The book is action-packed and suddenly begins picking up speed. The uncertainty of the situation helps produce more suspense. I highly recommend this book.

    I'm seeing people say that it's full of improper English. It isn't it was written by an englishman (Peter Grimsdale, not Andy McNab) so it uses English grammar. I have talked to Peter about this book and he did a very good job. Full stop.

    Some parts of it are pretty disgusting, and doesn't feel like much of a Battlefield book, but can be ok. And yah, it is pretty gruesome

    Obviously, the book is dusted with run-ons and errors, which in some cases produce an effect, but in others are a bother for the reader. However, it's a great read for fans of the Battlefield series.
